From barebones to beautiful both inside and out! This full interior gut and renovation in Montreat, NC woke up a sleepy cabin. Upgrades included a modern bathroom with custom built vanity, new paneling throughout the cottage, kitchen cabinets and granite countertops as well as hardwood floors throughout. The creation of 10 foot vaulted ceilings and a truss roof system allowed the owners to add HVAC/air conditioning. To mitigate a moisture challenge for the house, specialty engineering created a canal through the foundation to redirect stormwater. A new patio complete with handmade locust railings and fireplace is now the perfect place to spend evenings overlooking the new custom hardscape stream.
